To ensure that their vehicles can withstand even the most adverse weather conditions, Atlantis carried out rigorous tests in the Truma climate chamber, replicating extreme temperatures of -15°C for 12 hours with the vehicle turned off.
The results were impressive: by switching on the heater, the motorhome reached an internal temperature of 20°C in just three hours, one hour less than what is required by standard tests. Moreover, the vehicle maintained a difference of over 35°C between the inside and the outside, demonstrating its ability to keep a comfortable environment even in conditions of extreme cold.

These thermal performances, combined with the excellent insulation of the monocoque, make Atlantis motorhomes ideal for trips in all seasons and weather conditions. THE ADVANTAGES OF THE MONOCOQUE

One of the main advantages of a monocoque structure is certainly that it does not allow any infiltration thanks to the elimination of the joints present in traditional motorhomes; this greatly affects the thermal sealing of the vehicle and ensures exceptional thermal insulation performance.

WHAT MAKES OUR MONOCOQUE SO SPECIAL?

Everything starts from a perfectly finished and polished mold, on which a layer of fiberglass or carbon fiber is applied, protected by a gelcoat. To this first layer, an insulating block of closed-cell expanded PVC is coupled, precisely shaped to follow all the curves of the body in order to guarantee excellent thermal performance by covering the entire surface of the vehicle.

AL-KO CHASSIS

The AL-KO chassis is designed to offer stable and safe driving on any type of terrain. Its lowered structure provides more usable space on board and increases the insulation between the exterior and interior while maintaining very high insulating qualities in all climates.

DOUBLE FLOOR

The double floor, built on an AL-KO chassis, offers concrete advantages in terms of comfort and functionality: it improves thermal and acoustic insulation, guaranteeing a comfortable interior environment in every season. Its light and resistant structure optimizes the available space without affecting the overall weight.

TRUMA CLIMATE CHAMBER TEST

Our vehicles have undergone rigorous climate chamber tests, in accordance with European standards EN 1645-1 (Caravan) and EN 1646-1 (Motorhome), achieving Level 3: PREMIUM.

This level, defined as Gold Standard, requires the vehicle to start from an ambient temperature of -15 °C and reach 20 °C inside within 4 hours.

Thanks to the distinctive features of our monocoque and double floor, our vehicles passed the test in just 3 hours, that is, one hour less than what the European standard requires.
