HOW ATLANTIS MOTORHOMES ARE BORN

Made by Atlantis, 10 phases designed in every detail to offer you a product of impeccable quality:
Atlantis carbon fiber monocoque - integrated awning

The dream of the founders of Atlantis was to bring to life a project capable of offering a true alternative in the Italian motorhome landscape. Thanks to their know-how in high monocoque construction technology, this vision turned into motorhomes built without compromise.

PHASE 1

Creation of the monocoque

The monocoque takes shape directly inside the molds, where fiberglass or carbon fiber is carefully layered to obtain a solid and homogeneous structure. During this phase, the closed-cell PVC insulation is also integrated, producing a single, compact body capable of ensuring long-lasting stability and excellent thermal performance.
The external surface is not painted but finished with a gelcoat layer, designed to guarantee uniform color and easy, restorable maintenance over time. This approach ensures long-term protection and a consistently refined appearance.

PHASE 2

Installation on the jigs

Once removed from the mold, the body is placed on two dedicated jigs: one for the floor and one shaped precisely on the Ducato cab. This guarantees a perfect union between monocoque and mechanics, preventing deformations and ensuring optimal structural behavior.

Every alignment is checked repeatedly to maintain symmetry, structural balance, and millimetric precision. This meticulous process ensures reliability under all conditions, even after thousands of kilometers.

PHASE 3

Windows and rooflights

Inside the robotic department, a mechanical arm creates the openings for windows, hatches, and rooflights with impeccable accuracy. Automated cutting guarantees clean and consistent edges, minimizing the need for later adjustments. The same robotic system performs the uniform polishing of the gelcoat, improving surface quality and long-term durability. It is a crucial step to ensure finish quality and structural longevity.

PHASE 4

Lower Floor

On the AL-KO chassis of the Ducato, the lower floor is installed, creating the structural base of the vehicle. Above it, a custom-made aluminum frame is built for each specific motorhome. Here, the systems and tanks are placed inside the protected area of the technical double floor, improving thermal performance, weight distribution, and protection from external elements.

PHASE 5

Upper Floor

After the lower systems are completed, the upper floor is installed, creating an internal chamber designed to retain and diffuse heat. This configuration generates a uniformly warm environment for winter travel, ensuring a thermally stable and comfortable living space without reducing interior volume.

PHASE 6

Customized details

Based on the required specifications, custom fiberglass shower trays, dedicated fittings, and carbon fiber components are produced. Each part is crafted using specific molds and finished by hand to ensure precision, durability, and seamless integration with the rest of the structure.Customization remains one of the defining strengths of this production process.

PHASE 7

Consultation with the customer

After the initial meeting, the interior project begins to take shape. The layout, equipment, and finishes are defined according to the client’s goals and preferences. Every choice is translated into a realistic 3D render, allowing a complete preview before production. Only after the customer approves the design does the detailed technical planning phase officially begin.

PHASE 8

And the furniture?

The furniture is 100% Made in Atlantis.

Panels are cut from optimized sheets to reduce waste, ensuring a more sustainable and efficient production. Each component undergoes manual refinement to guarantee better fittings, reduced noise, and long-lasting structural stability.
This combination of precision technology and craftsmanship results in a high-end final product.

PHASE 9

Interior installation

The interiors are assembled following a meticulous sequence: furniture, systems, coverings, and utilities are installed with great care. Each element is fixed using techniques that reduce vibrations and ensure stability and long-term durability. This is where the real living space begins to emerge — a cabin where aesthetics and functionality blend seamlessly. The result is a solid, quiet, and refined interior, designed for comfort and everyday practicality.

PHASE 10

Compliance Test

The completed vehicle undergoes a series of thorough technical checks. All systems, functions, and structural elements are tested to guarantee full efficiency and compliance with the approved project. Checks also verify safety, reliability, and the correct integration of every component. Only after successfully passing all inspections is the motorhome ready to be delivered, perfectly embodying the core philosophy: “Your dreams. Our experience.”
